Phil is our first-ever Development Director at New Visions! Responsible for raising funds and awareness about New Visions, particularly in the community of Omaha, Phil works to make philanthropic connections that will benefit New Visions both now and in the future!
Having worked in the for-profit arena for 13 years, Phil came to New Visions because he was interested in doing something new and different. “I’m really impressed with the culture here,” he says, “Everyone really wants to make a difference.”
In his time with New Visions, Phil has learned a lot about non-profit work and serving individuals facing hunger and homelessness. “I’ve had great dialogue and have been able to share about who we are with many people who don’t know about us,” he says. In fact, just recently when giving a tour to an Omaha business leader, a Shelter guest approached and spontaneously shared about how New Visions has saved his life, helping to bring him out of a pattern of substance abuse and into a healthier place. “It’s humbling to work alongside individuals who have faced so much in life,” he says, “I’m grateful for the chance to advocate for them.”
Phil is a husband and dad to 4 children and loves spending time with his family. In his free time, Phil enjoys coaching soccer, running, and playing games with his kids. We’re grateful for the many skills and qualities that Phil brings to this role and we are hopeful that his work will continue to help us bring help, hope, and opportunity to those experiencing hunger and homelessness in our city.
